Prizes

This prize was established in memory of the distinguished services rendered by the late Frederic Mortimer Young in connection with the foundation and progress of the University, for several years a member of the Council and of the Board of Studies, and Chairman of the Board of Public Examinations.

Awarded to the student with the greatest proficiency in units included in the first year for the degree of Bachelor of Science, and who has not previously admitted to the Bachelor of Science at the University of Tasmania.
