Dr Ramsay J. Ford Memorial Prize

The Dr Ramsay J. Ford Memorial Prize was established by friends and colleagues to commemorate the contribution of the late Dr Ramsay J Ford to the University of Tasmania. Dr Ford had been a demonstrator and then a lecturer in the Department of Geology (now the School of Earth Sciences) for over twenty-five years until his death in 1988.

 

Eligibility

Awarded to the student with the greatest proficiency in first year Earth Sciences units. The student will have achieved at least distinction results in those units and not previously attempted the examination. The awardee must have signified an intention to proceed in the following year to second year Earth Science units.
