Prizes

This prize was established in 2011 by the School of Chemistry to mark its 50th year in the Chemistry Building on the Sandy Bay campus of the University of Tasmania. The School raised funds from its industrial collaborators, past staff members, graduates, and supporters in the community and used some of these funds to endow an annual prize for the student who produced the best doctoral thesis in that academic year.

Awarded annually to a graduate research candidate in the School of Chemistry who meets all the requirements to graduate with their research higher degree and is judged to have submitted the best doctoral thesis assessed over a 12 month period (Jan 1- Dec 31). Selection committee to be Head of Discipline, Director of ACROSS and nominated Chemistry Research representative.
