Prizes

This prize is generously provided by Gibbs and Cox Maritime Solutions, an independent engineering and design firm specializing in naval architecture, marine engineering, management support, and engineering consulting, to support a Naval Architecture or Marine & Offshore Engineering student at the Australia Maritime College and promote industry engagement.

Awarded to a domestic student who is a woman studying Naval Architecture or Marine & Offshore Engineering in year 3 of the Bachelor of Maritime Engineering (Specialisation) (Honours), who has the highest yearly GPA result in year 3 of study, to the equivalent of full-time load of eight units. Selection to be based on the final overall result in a completed third year of study following release of Semester 2 results annually. If no candidates are eligible, then this prize may be awarded to a student of another gender.

$3,000
