The Neil Pereira Prize recognises the efforts of Australian Maritime College Ocean Seafaring students and encourages them to strive for excellence in their chosen field of study.

a. Overall results in year 1 studies of the Bachelor of Applied Science (Nautical Science) with the highest-grade point average, considering performance in both curriculum-based units and practicums and

b. Showing dedication, leadership, and initiative during the course

c. Prize can be shared if multiple students are identified as suitable prize recipients
