The family of the late Ailsa Haward donated a sum of money soon after her death in 1984 to inaugurate this prize to commemorate her memory and service to the disciplines of Home Economics in our Tasmanian schools.

Awarded to the Bachelor of Education (Applied Learning) graduate who has a focus on food studies and has the best overall GPA.
