Graduates in Engineering at the Unversity of Tasmania donated a sum of money for the establishment of a prize to commemorate the distinguished service of Professor Alan Burn in the field of education and to mark their esteem.

Awarded to the student with the best all round performance over the four examinations in an Engineering degree.
