Cecil Rainer Murray History Prize in Modern European History

Harold Montolieu Harrisson of Caloundra, Queensland, and formerly of Bellerive, Tasmania, donated a sum of money to the University of Tasmania for the purposes of endowing two prizes in memory of his late cousin, Cecil Rainer Murray, an enthusiast for European History, contributor to the Australian Dictionary of Biography and noted pioneer bushwalker, who died in 1985.

 

Eligibility

Awarded to a student who shows the greatest proficiency in the study of European History from 1400 in a unit or units offered by the discipline of History at 200 level. The student must obtain a pass with Distinction in the relevant unit or units.
