Prizes

This prize is generously supported by Bonnie Tilley in memory of her mother, Elvy Robertston. Elvy was a young girl when she had to leave her home and family on the West coast of Tasmania to commence secondary schooling at Hobart High School, then in its early years. She continued to board in Hobart while she studied at Phillip Smith Teachers' Training College. Two things Elvy believed in were the importance of education, and that girls could do anything.

Awarded to the Tasmanian female student who has completed the first year of the Engineering or Surveying degree course with the most distinction.
