Prizes

The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) has a proud record of promoting professional standards and patient safety in the many areas of anaesthesia, intensive care and pain medicine. It does this through education in the science and practise of anaesthesia, intensive care and pain medicine.

The ANZCA Undergraduate Prizes in Anaesthesia were established to foster undergraduate and postgraduate teaching of anaesthesia, its related disciplines and perioperative medicine, and to raise awareness of the specialty among medical students and recent graduates. Each year prizes are awarded within Australian and New Zealand medical schools to final year medical students who achieve the best overall performance in the anaesthesia module of their clinical curriculum.
