Pharmaceutical Defence Ltd (PDL) is a not-for-profit organisation that arranges professional indemnity cover for pharmacists. PDL is the owner of The Australian Pharmaceutical Publishing Company (APP Co) which publishes the Australian Journal of Pharmacy (AJP) and Post Script (PS). PDL is owned by its 20,000 members and is proactive in supporting risk management in pharmacies, research and support for universities and appropriate projects to improve Pharmacy.

Awarded annually to the student with the highest aggregate mark in Year 2 of the Bachelor of Pharmacy degree. Eligible candidates for the award must have completed Year 2 of the Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in a single academic year.
