Prizes

In 1869 a fund was raised by public subscription in recognition of the services of the late Sir Richard Dry, the first Premier of Tasmania, with the object of perpetuating his memory among the youth of Tasmania. In 1892 the funds raised from the subscription provided for this prize for the encouragement of learning.

Awarded for high achievement in TCE English Literature (ENL315114) and at least one of either French (FRN315114) or German (GRM315114). The recipient must be enrolled in English, French or German in their first year of study with the University of Tasmania.
