IMAS prize for outstanding first year PhD performance

This prize is generously supported by the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies.

 

Eligibility

This prize recognises the most outstanding performance of a PhD candidate in their first 12 months of candidature leading up to confirmation.

Nominations are open to any PhD student with a primary supervisor from IMAS, who completed their first 12 months of candidature and has been confirmed on time in the 12 months prior to the closing date. Achievement could be experimental/research achievements, funding successes, publication resulting from the PhD candidature, academic, social and/or industry impact of research.

Submit

- 1 page nomination that summarises the key outcomes of the PhD candidates first 12 months of PhD candidature and why this performance should be considered outstanding, and

- signed support statement from supervisor
