Dr Garry Davidson Memorial Prize

The Dr Garry Davidson Prize in Earth Sciences was established in his memory. The prize is supported through the generosity of Garry’s family and friends.

Garry was a senior lecturer in the economic geology, geochemistry, and groundwater in the Discipline of Earth Sciences and CODES. He had been with CODES from its inception in 1989, during which time he made an immense contribution to the Centre’s success and had a profound influence on the hundreds of students who were fortunate to fall under his supervision and tutelage.

 

Eligibility

Awarded to the student who is enrolled in the unit KEA208 Earth's Materials and Interior, who shows the greatest achievement during the second year Geological Field Excursion, and who has not previously attempted to complete KEA208.
