Prizes

This prize is generously supported by John and Janet Upcher who donated funds to establish a prize in memory of their son James Edward Upcher who died prematurely in a tragic accident in 2017. James was a first class Honours University of Tasmania graduate in Arts and Law, a University Medallist and the inaugural Tim Hawkins Memorial Scholar.

The Prize will be awarded to an eligible graduating student in the College of Arts, Law and Education.

The eligibility criteria are:

a. Outstanding overall results in a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degree;

b. Excellence in International Law;

c. Excellence in a major in one of either Philosophy, Politics and Policy or English.
