The Graeme Holloway Community Pharmacy Prize

The Graeme Holloway Community Pharmacy Prize was created through the generous support of Graeme’s family and friends following his death in 2019 after a 20-year battle with cancer.

Graeme served as President and was a long-term member of the Pharmacy Board of Tasmania. On retirement from community pharmacy, he continued in the profession, contributing to the Alcohol and Drug Service's opiate replacement program. In 2018 he was awarded a Pharmaceutical Society of Australia Life Fellow status and the Tasmanian Pharmacist Lifetime Achievement Award.

Graeme was an advocate of the importance of pharmacy to the community, running extended-hour dispensaries in Bridgewater, Bellerive and Rosny. He sought to instil these values in future members of the profession through his dedicated support of both the undergraduate community pharmacy placement program and providing training for graduate students.
