C and I Tsatsoulis Prize

Awarded to the student who has shown the greatest proficiency in Ancient Civilisations 1A and 1B. The student must have passed with Distinction or High Distinction and not previously presented for examination in these units.

Cecil Rainer Murray History Prize in Modern European History

Awarded to a student who shows the greatest proficiency in the study of European History from 1400 in a unit or units offered by the discipline of History at 200 level. The student must obtain a pass with Distinction in the relevant unit or units.

Cecil Rainer Murray History Prize in Modern European History

Awarded to the student who shows the greatest proficiency in such unit or units as the discipline of History offers in the History of Europe from 1400 at 300 level. The student must obtain a pass with Distinction in the relevant unit.

Clara and Malcolm Gregory Prize in Asian History

Awarded to the student with the greatest proficiency in Asian history, who has obtained a pass with Distinction in that unit and has not previously presented for examination in that unit.

Eric Jeffrey Prize

Awarded to the student showing the greatest proficiency in the level 100 Latin units and who has not presented previously for examination and who has passed with High Distinction or Distinction.

G T Stilwell Prize

Awarded to the student at 300 level who has the best combination of results in any 200-300 level units of Australian history, and who has completed a major assignment in the field of Tasmanian history at Distinction level or above.

Kay Daniels Prize in Social History

Awarded to the student enrolled in a History unit at 200 or 300 level who submits a major assignment for assessment in the field of Social History which best exhibits the qualities that exemplified Kay Daniels' own work: imagination, intellectual clarity, rigorous research and broad humanistic...

Launceston Historical Society History Prize

Awarded for the best History essay written in the year by a student enrolled at Launceston on-campus in first year History, HTA101 or HTA102.

Merle and Phyllis Weaver Prize for Asian History

Awarded to the student who has shown the greatest proficiency in an Asian Studies unit offered by the School of Humanities at level 200 or 300 (provided that no candidate may be awarded at both levels). The unit must include a component of Asian History.

The Richard P Davis Prize in First Year History

Awarded for the best overall performance in HTA101 European History: Renaissance to Revolutions and HTA102 World History: The First Globalisation (taking into account that one of the units may have been studied in a previous year).
