The Kenneth Waters Herodotean Prize

This prize was endowed by Mr K. H. Waters, a member of the Department of Classics of the University of Tasmania from 1947 until his retirement in 1977, for the purpose of encouraging the study of classics and in particular Greek historiography.

 

Eligibility

Awarded annually to the candidate who has shown the greatest proficiency in classical historiography in an intermediate or advanced Ancient Civilisations unit, and who [i] has not previously presented for examination in that unit; and [ii] has obtained at least pass with Distinction in that unit.
