W.A. Townsley Honours Prize

This prize was founded by friends and colleagues, as a tribute to the contribution to the University by Emeritus Professor W.A. Townsley, Professor of Political Science from 1956 to 1974.



Awarded to the student with the highest results in the honours years in either Politics and Policy or International Relations. The prize may be withheld in any year if in the opinion of the Committee of Assessors the required standard has not been achieved.
