The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) is run by nurses, for the nursing team. ANMF is both the voice and strength for the thousands of nurses, midwives and care staff who are working together to improve the professional status, education and working conditions for the nursing team - while safeguarding the quality of patient care. ANMF gives you protection, advice and assistance whenever you need it.

The ANMF is the only union which specialises in supporting nurses, midwives and care staff - both industrially and professionally. Conditions, pay levels, and career structure applying to the Tasmanian nursing team have been hard-won over many years by ANMF members.

Awarded annually to the most outstanding student in Year 1 Nursing with the highest overall aggregate mark. To be eligible for the award the student must be enrolled in the first year of the Bachelor of Nursing degree course in the year the award is made.
