The Alan Davidson Memorial Law Prize

This prize was established in memory of Alan Davidson who died after a long illness in 2006. He arrived from England in 1970 to take up a teaching position in the Law Faculty, where his main interests lay in Mercantile and Industrial Law. He was a respected and well liked teacher and colleague over two decades. Alan will be fondly remembered by older members of staff and practitioners for his personal dignity and firm convictions and for his strong sense of justice and fair play.

 

Eligibility

Awarded to the student who shows the greatest proficiency, in order of preference, in either Labour Law, Corporate and Social Responsibility, Dispute Resolution or Competition Law, with at least a pass with distinction.
