Rona Hagger Memorial Prize

The Rona Hagger Memorial Prize was endowed in 1984 by her family, her close friends and her professional colleagues to mark her truly out-standing contribution to the welfare of the Tasmanian people and as a way of keeping her alive in their memory. Rona's husband was the late Dr Alf Hagger, a long-term teacher and researcher in Economics at UTAS. Rona was a leader in the development of social work practice in Tasmania.

 

Eligibility

The prize will be awarded to an eligible student who has completed an undergraduate course in any Faculty. The eligibility criteria are;

a) majored in one of the following subject areas: Economics, Policy and Politics, Psychology or Sociology OR

b) have completed a Bachelor of Economics, Bachelor of Psychology with Honours, or Bachelor of Social Work degree, in order to be considered by the committee

The successful student must have achieved a GPA of 6.7 or above.
