Dr Andrew Platts graduated with Honours in Medicine at UTAS in 1995. Tragically, he was killed in an avalanche on Mt. Tasman in New Zealand in December 2003. Family and friends have endowed the prize to honour his memory.

Awarded to a student in the final year of study in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and who demonstrates interest and proficiency in studies in Internal Medicine.
