E.J. Browne Memorial Prize

Awarded for outstanding proficiency in Organic Chemistry by a student majoring in Chemistry in both theory and particularly practical at a third year level and who has presented for examination for the first time in the unit or units concerned.

The recipient must not have previously presented for examination.

Harry Bloom Memorial Prize in Chemistry 4

Awarded annually to the student who obtains the highest placing in Chemistry 4 (Honours) based on the overall Honours assessment and who achieves first class Honours. The prize will not be awarded in any year in which no student achieves first class Honours in Chemistry 4.

J.N. Baxter Memorial Prize

Awarded for outstanding proficiency in both the practical and theory in Organic Chemistry at a first year level. The recipient must not have previously presented for the examination.

J.N. Baxter Memorial Prize

Awarded for outstanding proficiency in Organic Chemistry in both practical and theory in second year level. The recipient must not previously presented for the examination.

Percy Ash Scholarship

Awarded to the best second year Chemistry student who: is enrolled as a full-time student and passes all the subjects in which they are enrolled that year; and, indicates their intention of enrolling in a major in Chemistry at the University of Tasmania.

Royal Australian Chemical Institute 1st Year Prize

Awarded to the best first year Chemistry student, from either the Hobart or Launceston campus, who is continuing on in second year chemistry unit/s that would potentially enable the student to enrol in a major in Chemistry at third year level.

Royal Australian Chemical Institute 3rd Year Prize

Awarded to the most outstanding graduate in Chemistry at the University of Tasmania.
